I am the consultant archivist at the Maria Katrakis South African Hellenic Archive in Johannesburg. I am a retired teacher-librarian and hold a PhD in e-learning. I have 40 years of experience in schools.
The archive is based at SAHETI School and is the archive of the Greek community in South Africa. The archive collection was initiated in 1994 by the late Dr Maria Katrakis. At the end of 2011 the collection was moved from the University of Johannesburg to its current location. The collection is being developed as a repository for the Hellenic community and as a research collection which will be accessible online. The website should be launched by March 2014.
