Your user account in ICA-AtoM is tied to one of five user roles, each representing a different level of access to the system. Administrators can add and modify user roles: see Manage user accounts and Edit permissions.


Researcher


Contributor

  • Is a registered user with a unique user name or password
  • Can search, browse, create, edit, and export descriptions


Editor

  • Is a registered user with a unique user name or password
  • Can search, browse, create, edit, publish, and export descriptions
  • Can delete records
  • Can edit controlled vocabulary terms


Translator


Administrator

  • Is a registered user with a unique user name or password
  • Can import, export, create, read, update, publish, or delete any record in the system
  • Can customize application to institution specific requirements
  • Manages user accounts and profiles
