When?
- We formally began the beta testing phase of the ICA-AtoM project during the week of October 6, 2008.
- Please note that we released ICA-AtoM version 1.0.3 on October 9. Many of the institutions who are currently beta-testing are using that version. However, we have since released version 1.0.4 (on November 24) and some institutions are using that version - particularly the Canadian testers, because we added a Canadian Rules for Archival Description to that release. We will be migrating hosted sites to version 1.0.4 in the near future.
Participation Requirements
- The only requirement to participate in beta testing is to have one or more representatives from your institution enter some of your archival description data into ICA-AtoM and provide feedback to the ICA-AtoM development team on how to improve the software.
- You can determine for yourself how much time and how much data to contribute to this process.
- Please note that you can either have your institution host its own version of the software or we can host it on our server at no cost during the beta testing phase. **Note** If you host it on your own server, we do ask that you make the site publicly available, since we are hoping that beta testers will learn from each other's work.
